What's your level of expertise?

Total beginner - I've never bought a diamond before and have not done much research.
Moderately a beginner - I've never purchased a diamond before but I feel like I've done some research to know the basics (4C's etc)
Intermediate - I've either purchased a diamond before but want to do it differently and with more knowledge this time or have never purchased a diamond but feel like I know what it means when you say "beyond the 4 C's"

Clarity Preference

Flawless (FL): No inclusions or blemishes are visible under 10x magnification OR Internally Flawless (IF): The most perfect, museum exhibit-level diamond (you probably don't need this, but the option's there)
Very Very Slightly Included (VVS1 and VVS2): Inclusions are so slight they’re extremely difficult to see under 10x magnification. A high-end choice!
Very Slightly Included (VS1 and VS2): Minor inclusions are present but they don’t disturb the diamond’s overall appearance. Typically we need 20x magnification to see these inclusions - most diamonds we work with are in this bracket
Slightly Included (SI1 and SI2): Inclusions are noticeable under 10x magnification; many SI1 diamonds appear “eye-clean” but SI2 diamonds might show visible flaws.

What to expect...

Gabrielle prioritizes cut over EVERYTHING. We aren’t going to give you an option on your preferences on cut, because we will not sell you something that would be ranked anything less than ideal/excellent.

That said - there are no cut ratings for stone shapes outside of rounds. Anything you see on other websites about “extra ideal cut” or similar are simply marketing phrases. We are more than happy to talk this through with you if you would like and provide examples.

In US Dollars. It’s fine to give a range, but please put the top end of the budget as what you would genuinely be fine spending. We promise that we can find you something perfect on any budget, so do not feel like you need to bulk up the budget for our sake.

Is this stone for a project?

You do not need to decide now, but we will determine if the stone goes to our craftsman in Surat for your custom project, to be set, or to Gabrielle in Chicago. Gabrielle inspects every single stone with a precise eye and specialty tools before it is shipped to you.

$250 Non-Refundable Sourcing Fee

We have worked out the average stones it takes for Gabrielle to go through to find the perfect diamond, is typically about 700-1000.

This process includes reaching out directly to diamond cutters, getting videos, and spending up to approximately 12-20 hours to find the perfect stone.

Therefore, we charge a non-refundable $250 fee to cover Gabrielle’s time if you decide not to purchase a stone. This fee is credited towards your diamond purchase, not an additional fee.

Remember—Gabrielle will present you with options, so you will not feel pressured into a purchase. We can explore as many options as you feel comfortable with to find the perfect stone for you.

Communication Disclaimer

I understand that Gabrielle manages complex medical conditions that occasionally impact her availability during standard business hours. Her treatment schedule sometimes includes full days at the hospital, which may delay responses.

By checking “yes,” I agree to approach all communications with patience and good faith. For example, if I don’t hear back within a few hours, I will assume Gabrielle is resting or in treatment—not that she is ignoring me.

I trust that Gabrielle will respond within 24–48 hours, and I understand that immediate replies may not always be possible. I agree not to take delayed responses personally or with anxiety.

I also understand that while Gabrielle makes this work look effortless, sourcing the perfect stone is a time-intensive, behind-the-scenes process (often involving late nights and 3 am happy tears when she finds the one).

By checking this box, I acknowledge that I may not see every step of the process, but I trust that Gabrielle is working with care and intention on my behalf. Unless I request to see rejected stones for educational purposes, she will only share the options she fully endorses.

If there is ever an extended or unexpected period of unavailability, another team member from Adamas Studio will step in to keep me informed and ensure continuity.
